Sports Awards - The Winners

A celebration of passion and the relentless pursuit of excellence. Moving beyond the glamour of this year’s Sports Awards Gala, this four-part series delves into the quiet moments of focus and the unyielding drive that define this year’s recipients.

Through powerful, intimate portrayals, we discover more about this year’s distinguished honourees and learn more about their journeys: Sportsperson of the Year, Tyrone Buttigieg; Junior Sportsperson, Sophie Lines; Senior Team, Lincoln Red Imps; and Junior Team, Netball U17s.

The series also shines a spotlight on those whose contributions often go unseen, such as Unsung Hero, Tom Tunbridge; John Shephard, Special Recognition Award recipient; and honours the extraordinary legacy of Lifetime Achievement recipient, Moira Gomez.

Together, they form a tapestry of ambition, resilience and inspiration, reminding us that greatness is not only achieved in victory, but forged in dedication.
