A British man has been ordered to leave Gibraltar after being served with a notice by the Commissioner of Police, in his role as Principal Immigration Officer.
As reported by the Gibraltar Chronicle, 66 year old Anthony Farrell was convicted under the Terrorism Act for displaying a placard that could arouse reasonable suspicion of support for the proscribed organisation Hamas.
After the Magistrates' Court refused the Crown's application to remove him from Gibraltar, Owain Richards served Farrell a notice declaring him a prohibited immigrant, under the Immigration, Asylum and Refugee Act.
He has 21 days to leave Gibraltar voluntarily before it's enforced.
