'Her legacy extends beyond borders of UK' - Childline Gibraltar pay tribute to Dame Esther Rantzen
Dame Esther Rantzen, broadcaster and founder of Childline UK has died aged 86.
Dame Esther founded the charity in 1986, creating a free, private and confidential service where children and young people could talk about anything that concerns them.
Her work also has a special connection to the Rock. In 2006, she helped launch Childline Gibraltar at The Mount.
Chief Executive Caroline Carter said that the charity is "so honoured" that Dame Esther left a legacy not only in the UK, but here on a local level too.
