The Partido Popular has threatened to reverse the EU/UK Treaty if it gets into Government.
MEP Antonio López-Istúriz told the European Parliament everything would change in a month.
Mr López-Istúriz said the next summit on the 20th of November, Spanish elections on the 29th, and ratification on the 14th of December, will all mark the countdown for the Treaty's future.
He said a PP Government would revise what has been negotiated and would have a distinct policy from the current PSOE Government.
The Euro-Parliamentarian had taken issue with Commissioner Maroš Šefčovič, for not having mentioned Gibraltar during a debate on EU/UK relations.
He also accused the Spanish Foreign Minister of not having achieved anything positive for Spain or the EU.
Warning of the lack of frontier controls, both he and the VOX MEP, Margarita de la Pisa, said, Gibraltar could be the new Ceuta, letting immigrants into Spain.
These comments are nothing new, with PP MEPs having presented amendments against the ratification process in September.
The comments, however, have to be seen against a backdrop of partisan electioneering.
