Tax office calls on public to file returns online to keep counters free for those who need help

The Tax Office is asking members of the public not to fill in their tax return forms at its public counters and to return PDFforms via email.

The Government says the office is receiving a high volume of enquiries as the deadline for filing returns approaches.

It asks people to visit the office only if they need assistance that cannot reasonably be provided by email or telephone, or if they do not have access to a personal computer.

The eService on gov.gi is currently being tested with normal service expected to resume soon. Anyone who has submitted their tax return this way should resend it once the service becomes available again.

Meanwhile, the PDF tax return form is available on the Income Tax Office website.
