At the Supreme Court, a man is standing trial in connection with alleged incidents said to have taken place between July 2023 and October 2024.

Ravi Viroomal faces two charges, including one count of common assault.

Opening the case for the Crown, prosecutor Cecile Gomez told the jury that, after hearing all the evidence, she believed it would be clear where the truth lies and that they would be able to return guilty verdicts on both charges.

The defendant denies the charges.
